Mums put the spring back in life

September 4, 2014

A PAIR of mums who know first hand how challenging it can be to regain post-natal health and wellbeing have put in place a series of steps to help other mums achieve their goals.

Becky Dyer, from Normanhurst, and Jackie Steele, from Arcadia, launched Body Beyond Birth in May and have since been run off their feet.

Their product — a 12-week online course offering pilates-based exercise and nutritional advice — has been so popular that they were recently recognised as a finalist in national business awards.

“We know mums are time poor and often financially poor and stuck in the house,” Mrs Dyer, who works as a physiotherapist, said.

“It’s not always feasible to attend classes so we upload a new video each week and allow women to look after their bodies in their own home, in their own time.”

The pair, who have five children between them, have employed a dietitian to work with them.

Mums can sign up to Body Beyond Birth online and a free one week trial is available. The 12-week course costs $150. Visit bodybeyondbirth.com for details.
